Good Morning Everyone
Tomorrow’s Club Ride is ‘The Road to Wotton-under-Edge’ – celebrating the reopening of Rushmire Hill (B4058) and Old London Road, after 6 months of closure. (I am going to go and check later that it is really open, as I can’t quite believe it and also Ride with GPS doesn’t quite believe it either.)
Meet 9:30am at Wallbridge Lock, then down A46 to Nailsworth, Pensile Rd to Minchinhampton, Avening, Chavenage with a stop at the Barn after 11 miles. Then through the Hidden Valley to KIngscote and down Rushmire Hill to Wotton, carrying on through Kingswood, Wickwar, Cromhall and Milbury Heath with another stop at Dobbies Garden Centre after 30 miles. We will return through Thornbury, Rockhampton, Stone, Damery, Huntingford and up Old London Road and then your preferred route home (the ridewithgps file shows going back through Horsley and Nailsworth). Feel free to just come to the Barn at Chavenage or join us en route. The weather forecast is overcast with a chance of some light rain at times and much cooler than recently.
