[svccridesupdate] Sad News

Good Evening Everyone
You may have heard in the local news about a 79 year old cyclist from Hardwicke who has died following a car crash. Today we learned the sad news that the cyclist was Dave Mundy who many of you will know.
He sometimes joined us on Sunday club rides on his immaculate white bike and also regularly attended the joint Christmas Dinner with the Stonehouse Wheelers. He was a kind and gentle man and had achieved a great deal as a cyclist. He had a fund of knowledge about the world of cycling but he was also very modest and self-effacing.
His funeral will take place on Wednesday 9th April at 14:30 at Gloucester Crematorium. His widow, Helen, would welcome mourners to attend; the dress code is not black and she has no objections to cycling gear.
We intend to organise a ride from Stroud to his funeral to give him a cycling send off – more details to follow.
Regards
