Hello John,
I hope you don’t mind me getting in touch. I found your email as a Stroud Valleys Cycling Club contact on the web – if you’re not the right contact, I’m sorry. Please could you forward this if you know who is.
I work for a Gloucester-based charity and we are currently exploring the development of a new youth community bike project in Quedgeley & Kingsway and are looking to connect with people who may be interested in getting involved, supporting the idea, or simply helping spread the word.
The aim is to create a welcoming, community-led project focused around:
* Bike repair and maintenance * Practical skills and volunteering * Supporting young people * Reducing waste and reusing bikes * Building community connections
We are very much at the early stages and are looking to start small and grow gradually based on interest and volunteer capacity.
Importantly, people do not need to be expert mechanics to get involved. We’d love to hear from anyone who:
* Enjoys practical projects * Likes working with people * Has cycling or bike knowledge * Wants to support young people * Could offer occasional time, ideas or encouragement * Knows others who may be interested

If this is something you may be interested in personally, or if you would be willing to circulate the flyer through your club, it would be hugely appreciated.
At this stage we’re mainly trying to identify potential volunteers, supporters, partners and people interested in helping shape the project.
