Dear all,
Just a quick update on my lead rides over the next ten days.
*Off rd ride Sat 29 *Aug..I’ve cancelled.
*Drive to Newent Loop. *Sun 30 Aug, Just want to find if there is any interest? Outline plan: Arrive Ashleworth Hub for 10am for a mid morning break.
I’m cycling there and back circa 63 mile.
The Loop itself is about 33 miles.
Plan this to be more of a tour, possibly taking in: War memorial, Cpl Priday, first British casualty of WW2 Poets Exhibition Dymock (Ruper Brooke and a plethora of other Gloucestershire poets. St Mary’s Saxon Church Kempley and it world famous wall paintings Tithe Barn & Bee shelter Hartpury.
Lunch (snackish) back at Ashleworth, approximately 2.30. Then make your own way home.
Can you please let me know if u plan to do this ride so that I can inform the Hub of numers . More details to follow
*Ride/Camping Weekend * I’ve gone for: Mostly an off road route on Fri 4, a 2pm start – Sat 5 Sep. If you are interested in cycling there/back or camping then please let me know as I have to inform the campsite.
