[svccridesupdate] Tour of Briton Stage Saturday 9th
Hi,
I am leading a ride to watch the Tour of Briton race as it passes through Gloucestershire on Saturday. The ride with a choice of distances (20 or 32 miles) and will start at Dudbridge at 11:00am .
The route will involve an easy pace ride to Nailsworth, Avening and then to the Tetbury Goods Shed for coffee / snacks. The ride will then go back towards Avening (for about 12:45) to see the race.
For the shorter ride it is suggest that the race may be watched on Tetbury Hill, Avening and anyone wishing to do so may make their way back from here. It will be possible to catch the riders again at Dudbridge (Estimated to be there at 14:33 to 15:17) or Paganhill Lane at roughly the same time.
However the longer ride will watch at the crossroads near Chavenage (so we can leave at any time without getting stuck in the road closures) and then going across to Crawley Hill, Uley. A route back to Stroud will be via Coaley and Frocester.
The time table shows the riders typically arriving at Avening at around 1:00 to 1:20 and Crawly Hill around 14:20 to 15:00. Note : Road closures are 15 minutes prior to the arrival and last until all riders and race vehicles have passed.
