Ian Cooper has asked me to lead Thursday’s ride for him.

We will set off from Wallbridge at 9.30 am and we will head up the Slad Valley.

We will pass through:

Brimpsfield

Cowley

Hilcot

And stop for coffee at the A40 Hideout at Andoversford (17 miles)

Then:

Winchcombe

Teddington

Tredington

Apperley

And have lunch at the Red Lion at Wainlode (42 miles)

We then head on to:

Bishop’s Norton

Hatherley

Innsworth

Hucclecote

Standish

Epney

Saul

Whitminster

Then back to Stroud

The route is 72 miles (116 km) in total, with 3,664 feet (1,117 metres) of climbing, mostly in the first part of the ride.

It looks as if the weather will be cooler than it has been recently and we may see see some rain.
