[svccridesupdate] Stroud Valleys Cycling Club AGM Saturday 26th April

This year we will be holding the Stroud Valleys Cycling Club AGM on Saturday 26th April at 3:30pm at the Cainscross Parish Council Hall at the Pavilion in Victory Park, Stroud GL5 4JE. There is parking nearby for those who need to come by car. 

Following the AGM there will be teas and coffees and some food to share and a chance to have a chat with other members of the club. 

At this stage, please put the date in your diary. If you are unable to make the date, you can email me your apologies.  

If you have any motions that you would like discussed at the meeting, please email them to this email address by Saturday 12th April at the latest so they can be added to the agenda. Only Cycling UK members are able to vote at the meeting – make sure you bring your membership card.

The AGM will give you a chance to meet the members of the committee and discuss your views on how the club is run and our plans for the future.  

This year some of the long standing members of the committee have decided to stand down. 

These are: 

Chair – Malcolm Carruthers

Secretary and Registration Officer – Clare Smith

Chris Padmore – Treasurer

Tom Daltry has put his name forward as Secretary and Dave Hassall as Treasurer but we are still looking for someone to take on the role of Chair. More information about this role can be found at https://www.cyclinguk.org/article/chairs-toolkit

We are always looking for new members with new ideas to join the committee so why not put your name forward? The committee members are a friendly bunch and there aren't too many meetings so it's not too big a commitment. Just get in touch if you are interested or talk to a committee member on a ride.
