[svccridesupdate] Pre Carol Service Cycle Ride & Mike Felton’s Farewell

Dear all,

This email has two purposes:

1. Details on this Sunday’s   cycle ride.

2. Mike’s Farewell 

Can we please meet outside St Matthew’s Church, Cainscross. Post code GL5 4 JE

The reason why I’m starting from there,  it’s where the Carol service is being conducted, so colleagues may want to drop-off food and other items.  Steve Brawley has the key and he will be there from 08.30.

The route is mainly on the Severn Vale and fairly flat. It about 30 miles at a steady pace. Roughly as for RWGPS.

Mid morning break, will be at the Kitchen Garden, Berkeley. 

Weather… will guess what?  I’m totally confused, different weather mediums are say different things! One thing is for sure if it going to be wet I will cancel the ride, so check your emails on Sun morning. Don’t want anyone getting saturated and then having to sit around in a cold church! 

We aim to be back at the Church for around 12 o’clock. 

Am aware that some colleagues have no interest in churches, Carol services etc, However, you are most welcome to  come along, just for the ride. 

Mike Felton’s farewell 

Mike will be leaving us for good on Wednesday, so though it would be nice to wish him farewell.

 It makes a lot of sense to do after the Carol service in the church hall. I’m happy to bring along a couple of bottles of wine, one I won in the Hill village hall raffle the other from mine and Matt’s Treasure Hunt success.

We will do this straight after the service, so if you have time could you please stay for a few just a minutes.
