I have the sad task of informing you that our friend and keen cyclist, Dick Venning, died peacefully earlier this morning.
Dick who was a member of Stroud Valleys CC for a long time, greatly enjoyed his cycling and will be sorely missed.
News of his death was reported in the following message from his Church colleague, Jodie.
“This is a very sad message to announce the death of Dick Venning, much loved Warden of St Matthew’s and friend to many of you throughout Stroud Parish Churches.
He passed away around 5am this morning, and his wife Elaine recounted that it was a holy and peaceful passing.
Our prayers today are for Elaine and their family: Helena, Maggie, Bel, Amber, Elena & Dick’s brother Nigel.
