[svccridesupdate] Castle Combe Ride on Sunday 13th April

Good Morning Everyone

Tomorrow's ride is to the Cyclists' Service at Castle Combe. There is an option to ride from Stroud – 57 miles with nearly 800m of climbing – or you can use your car and join us at the Courtyard Cafe in Sherston – 23 miles with just under 300m of climbing.
Meet 9:30am at Wallbridge Lock, Stroud. Then Nailsworth, Avening, Chavenage, Westonbirt to Sherston with a stop at the Courtyard Cafe after 17 miles. If you are joining us there, I expect we will be there from about 11:15am – 11:45am.
Then Badminton, Alderton, Littleton Drew, The Gibb and along the back lanes to Castle Combe after another 16 miles. This should give us time for another refreshment stop at the Old Stables if needed.
The Church Service starts at 2:30pm at St Andrews Church and there will be cake and tea afterwards.
We will then return through Grittleton (and anyone who started in Sherston will turn off about 3 miles after Grittleton), Easton Grey, Shipton Moyne, Tetbury (I will leave you not long after Tetbury) and back through Avening and Nailsworth or your preferred route home.
Here is a link to the 2 routes:
Feel free to join or leave at other points en route.
The weather is still mainly dry with some sunshine, but not as warm as the last few days, with a strengthening south-westerly wind.
Hope to see some of you tomorrow
