Dear all,
Wycliffe College (WC) have now confirmed that they would be delighted to have members of SVCC present at Sunday’s Remembrance Day Service, Stonehouse.
To that end they would like me to confirm possible numbers, mainly to reserve seating in the Chapel and after service refreshments.
I’m aware that church services are not be for or everyone, however, on this occasion I feel that this will collectively give us time to commemorate those who have died in previous wars and to reflect on present world conflicts.
I would be grateful if you could let me know by the end of play this Tuesday if you are planning on attending this Sunday.
The proposed itinerary can be found on the email that I sent to you on the 26 Oct 26.
This will incorporate a reasonable easy and short PM ride as well,

I think it was 3 possibly 4 years ago that a number of us attended Remembrance Sunday at Wycliffe College (WC).
I’ve provisionally arranged something similar for this year. Please refer to Nov rides list.
My thinking at the moment:
* We meet at Wallbridge 09.30 * A short ride to WC * Need to be there circa 10am, for a 10.30 church service. * Coffee and light refreshments at the College *
Optional: Watch proceedings at the War Memorial, Stonehouse. I remember it was quite chilly and damp when we did this last time, either we don’t do this, or wrap up well, however, I do feel it would be a bit cheeky, accepting WC kind hospitality, then sneaking off! I think let’s play it by ear…probably the weather will make the decision for us!
Once finished we then do a fairly easy ride the Kitchen Garden Cafe, Berkeley for lunch.
I will collate all of this nearer the time.
Please let me know if you are thinking of attending, I need to inform WC of numbers etc.
