Good Morning Everyone It’s a Bank Holiday weekend, so what could be better than a trip to the beach!? Don’t bother to bring your swimming costume or a bucket and spade though as we are going to Severn Beach… The weather forecast looks OK though – between 20 and 24 C with some sunny spells.
Meet 9:30am at Wallbridge. Then Ebley, Ryeford, Stanley Downton, Coaley, Cambridge, Berkeley with a stop at the Berkeley Tea Rooms after 16 miles. We will then continue through Oldbury-on-Severn, Elberton, Aust, Northwick and Severn Beach with a stop at the legend that is Shirley’s Cafe after 35 miles. We will return through Pilning, Olveston, Alveston, Tytherington, Cromhall, Tortworth, Damery, Wick and Stinchcombe and your preferred route home. Just under 67 miles with 740m of climbing. It would be possible to shorten the route by parking at Berkeley and joining us there and although we don’t go back to Berkeley, we go within a few miles of it on the return journey.
