[svccridesupdate] Thursday longest day ride – start 7.30 locks in Stroud

Good afternoon
Here is Thursday’s long ride on what look like a very hot 🥵 day.
Setting off early (7-30)though means we will do must of the climbing when it is cooler.
I first came across this route when I moved down here from the north east. I bought the Cicerone’s book ‘Cycling in the Cotswolds’ so I could familiarise myself with the area. Included in the book was a 4 day 200km tour which I have adapted into today’s full day ride😰. I have ridden it a few times and it is brilliant way to get a taste of the Cotswolds. The first 40 miles of the route is the hard part with lots of climbing. The total climbing for the day is over 6500 feet..
The route is as follows: Stroud locks 7-30am sorry Wick street Dude Colesboune Withington Winchcombe Snowshill Broadway Tower tea room 40 miles 11am Chipping Campden Morton in marsh Stow in wold Lower swell – lunch 60 miles 1-30pm – the golden ball. The slaughters Bourbon on water Little barrington Coln st Aldwyns – ice cream stop 80 miles 4pm Daglingworth Frampton mansell Stroud Total 102 miles finish 6pm The route is detailed below

Hopefully I’ll see some of you on Thursday.
