[svccridesupdate] Tomorrow’s Longer Ride
Good afternoon everyone,
Tomorrow’s longer ride is to Chew Valley, leaving Wallbridge at the early time of 8.00 am.
We are leaving early because when I did this ride in 2022 we didn’t get back to Stroud until around 7.30 pm and I hope that with this early departure we can get back between 6.00 pm and 6.30 pm.
The route is 95 miles (153 km) long and we have 5,354 feet (1,632 metres) of climbing ahead of us.
The route will be:
Wallbridge Nailsworth Wotton Warmley Station for coffee Keynsham Chew Valley, lunch at Salt and Malt Bristol, including crossing the iconic Clifton Suspension Bridge Thornbury, where we will have an ice cream stop Stinchcombe Stroud
The route is here:

Thanks are due to Dave Hassall for devising the original route and to Ian Cooper for checking for road closures and amending it accordingly.
If you want to join the ride en route just let me know where you will be and when you will be there and we will look out for you.
The forecast is pretty good but it may be wise to take a rain jacket in case of showers.
Best wishes,
Steve Brawley 07971 141910
