[svccridesupdate] Sunday 10th August ride to Tewkesbury
Hello Everybody,
I am proposing a ride out to Tewkesbury tomorrow, in the absence of anything published on the rides list.
Starting at Wallbridge Lock at 09.30,
heading up Wick St. to Painswick along the A46, then down Green St. into Brockworth.
Churchdown and Staverton, with a stop for coffee after about 20 miles at Busybee’s cafe near the airport (close to AV8).
Then through the lanes Stoke Orchard/Tredington to Tewkesbury
Lunch at the Hop Pole hotel on Church St.
Heading back along the Mythe – over the river, Bushley Green, Forthampton, Chaceley, Ashleworth and Maisemore to Gloucester,
then along the canal to head via Longney, Epney, Saul back to Stroud.
Ride with GPS route to be published shortly – about 60 to 65 miles – (once I have finished trimming/improving the route I did last time).
The weather is looking fine and dry with 26 degrees forecast – so sun cream not rain jackets hopefully. Please let me know if you want to join somewhere en route.
