[svccridesupdate] Longer Ride Tomorrow to Birlingham
Good afternoon,
Tomorrow’s longer ride is to Birlingham, in Worcestershire.
As usual, I have borrowed the route from another member, in this case Peter Chaffer, who led this ride in July 2023.
Ian Cooper has kindly checked Peter’s route for road closures and has amended it slightly to take care of closures at Withington and Brimpsfield, both related to the ongoing work on the A417.
We will start at the Co-op in Stonehouse at 9.00 am to give us a slightly earlier start a little closer to Gloucester and hopefully ensure that we get home at a reasonable time.
The route will be as follows:
Gloucester Ashleworth Hub for coffee Tewkesbury Strensham Birlingham for lunch Pershore Winchcombe Andoversford Slad Stroud

The total distance is 79 miles (127 km) and we will climb 3,850 feet (1,173 metres), with most of the climbing in the second part of the route.
