Good evening,
Three friends cycled yesterday morning along the lane from Kingscote towards the A46 and Chavenage.
As you leave Kingscote there is quite a steep downhill then the road twists and turns through the Hidden Valley.
Two of the cyclists went down on a thin layer of mud after the initial downhill section and one has broken his clavicle (collar bone) in two places. The other rider got away with cuts and bruises.
We can’t do a great deal about the hazards of mud but please take care until dryer weather reduces the risk.
