[svccridesupdate] Showshill Manor NT Cycle Ride update:
Hi everyone, I’m going to change the ride date, as I’ve been asked to lead a walking group on the Cotswolds Way 28-29 July.
So now looking at Sun 1 Sep.
The proposed mid morning break will be either: A40 Hideout or Northgrove Hub. So those who want to do a shorter route can join us at this point, we will be returning there as well. It will however make the route longer for those doing the whole thing!
Am planning to start a bit earlier, will confirm later.
The Manor is absolutely jammed packed with an array on memorabilia, all confined to a small area. So we should get around it fairly quickly, also you can be selective in what you want to see. Of course there are the gardens as well. Also worth reading up on the previous owner, Charles Paget Page, an interesting if not eccentric character.
Hopefully we should be back sometime between 6 and 7 pm, certainly back before dark, but don’t hold me to that😂 The cost to enter is £14. Don’t forget mid morning break and lunch as well.
