Dear all,
Please excuse my tardy résumé on today’s SVCC Treasure Hunt. I’ve had a bit of a busy afternoon! Firstly, can I thank all the participants (Nick and Vicki C, Phil H, John T, Mervyn C, Daphne E, Matt U, Steve B, Gerry and Martin J and Gwyn J👏) for turning up on what was going to be a very wet day, fortunately it was remarkably dry. Can I also thank my fellow organiser Clare, for all the time and effort that she put into it, really making it a successful, challenging and fun day out…I also enjoyed the good humoured craic 😉🤣 It certainly was a tough course, but cycling through some stunning countryside, well done all👏. The distance was circa 17 miles with 14 clues to work out🤔. I’m just going to mention, who came second and first: 2nd Nick and Vicky Carter 1st Matt Utting and Phil Hayward. Well done to you both scoring a remarkable 23 1/2 out of 24👏. They also will get a reward for the most rubbish picked up en route, this was a separate part of the challenge. So to conclude, Matt and Phil will be organising next year’s Treasure Hunt.🫣😔🤔 Well done everyone👏
