Coronavirus Risk Assessment

To ensure that the club complies with current guidelines from the UK government and Cycling UK the following risk assessment should be read and followed by all club riders:

Unable to keep within current group size limitsRide leader should split the group, appoint another ride leader and the groups should remain separated
Touching a bicycle or other equipment that is infectedOnly use your own bicycle and carry your own equipment
Unable to maintain social distancing whilst cyclingCyclist to ride in single-file. Cyclist not to bunch when stopping. Ride leaders to ensure the above guidance is followed.
Unable to maintain social distancing whilst assisting another cyclist with a mechanical issue or who has suffered an injury or crashYou should carry and use a face covering, hand sanitiser and disposable gloves, if you are unable to maintain social distancing whist helping another cyclist with a mechanical problem or as the result of an injury or crash.
Unable to obtain food or drinks during a rideCarry adequate food and drinks for the whole ride
DehydrationCarry adequate water for the whole ride
Unable to use public conveniencesAs an individual, decide in advance how you will deal with this issue
Unable to respond to a test and trace request involving a club riderRide leaders to retain a list of riders for 2 weeks after each ride
Someone displays coronavirus symptoms during a rideRide leader agrees with the rider the best way for them to leave the ride and return home
