Bike Week will soon be here – 6th – 12th June – and this year Stroud Valleys Cycling Club are promoting cycling, our club and Cycling UK by having a stand on Saturday 11th June outside the Subscription Rooms.
We need some volunteers to help run the stand so if you are able to give an hour or two, please reply to this email or speak to a committee member on a ride. We will be setting up the stand from 8:30am onwards ready for a 9am start and we will be packing up after 1pm.
There will also be an easy, introductory ride on Sunday 12th June to mark the end of Bike Week and we hope to see some new faces joining us.
If you would prefer something more challenging on Sunday 12th June, you might be interested in Cycle Bristol's 100 mile ride. Here are the details:
Sun, June 12, 8am – 8pm, Riding from The Swan Pub Winterbourne to Tetbury (Commercial coffee/tea stop) then onto Lunch at Cricklade ( Commercial ) then onto Tea at Malmesbury ( Commercial ) then onto Finish at Swan Pub Winterbourne. 100 Miles to be done in less than 12 hours, ride split into groups with a group ride leader, each individual rider given a route sheet. Another upcoming event is Cotswold Cogfest on Sunday 22nd May in Minchinhampton. There are 2 fully signposted sportive routes – 60 miles and 30 miles – and lots of other activities too. There is no club ride down for 22nd May so it would give you a chance to get out on your bike. More details and how to sign up can be found at https://cotswoldcogfest.org/
Also, don't forget to sign up by 16th June 2022 for the SVCC Cycle Treasure Hunt on Saturday 16th July. To sign up or for more details contact Paul – email@example.com
